Because of various movies and TV shows, most people believe that a Book of Shadows is some sort of Grimoire, that is passed down through the generations. Unfortunately, Wicca hasn’t been around long enough to have many family Books that can be passed more than a generation.
While a Book of Shadows does hold spells, that is just one function that it serves.[/text_block]
